NROI has adopted the policy of IROA, the International Range Officers Association to certify Range Officer Instructors or Administrators as they are called.
Any current member of IPSC who is already minimally certified as an NROI Chief Range Officer interested in becoming an Administrator (Range Officer Instructor), would work with a certified Instructor for a few courses, usually from 2 to 5, depending on the ability of the candidate instructor. Once the supervising instructor feels that the candidate is ready, the candidate instructor would teach the next RO course "solo" under the supervision of a currently certified instructor.
